Facial puffiness and muscle tension can make the contours look tired and less defined. The board is larger than a standard gua sha board, so it is easier to hold securely, with smooth edges for broad sweeps across the face and neck and a ribbed edge for focused work on tense areas.
Black obsidian is a natural volcanic glass formed when lava cools rapidly. Consistent massage with light to medium pressure supports lymphatic drainage, reduces facial and neck puffiness, releases muscle tension and improves microcirculation to support firmer-looking skin.
Botanical Recovery Serum provides the glide needed for facial massage, while the gua sha adds de-puffing and tension-release care beyond the serum and mask. Its size, smooth edges and ribbed edge make both broad and focused movements easier to control.
After cleansing, apply 8–10 drops of serum. Hold the gua sha at roughly a 15-degree angle, almost flat to the skin, and sweep outwards from the centre of the face and down the neck for 2–5 minutes using light to medium pressure. Avoid excessive force.
